Health & Fitness: There is Always A Positive to Each Negative!

So I awoke today in a sort of restless slumber! My mind was telling me to go back to sleep, but sounds of four highly annoyed dogs forced me to rise up out of my bed early enough to meet my normal routine. My intensity lagged incredibly. I could feel my body and mind wanting to give up and call it a day. Normally by midway through my routine, I’m greeted with a burst of adrenaline and I feel awake and refreshed. My intensity levels rise and my mindset drives me through the second half. That did not come today. I managed to make it through my entire hour and a half regimen and actually forced myself to increase my intensity. Grateful to have not given up, I quickly ended my regimen well on target and went to shower.

With an attempt to meekly accept that my days of steadily losing weight were over, I jumped on the scale with no expectations. To my surprise, I was shocked to see that I had actually lost a pound. Today is day two and at this point last week, I had lost nothing. Actually, I did not lose one pound until Friday.

Did my attempts at curbing carbohydrates help? Or, could it be the extra five minutes of increase speed that I added into my treadmill routine? I think it has a little to do with both! What do you think?
