Health & Fitness - Time to Fly Away!
Yeeehaw! I'm so glad it is vacation time. I'm also glad that I'm feeling so much better. My voice is 99% back but I feel 100% better. Time to enjoy! Then come Monday, it's time to get back to the grind of it all. Workout, work, school, etc. Can't wait!

Health & Fitness - More Rest, Less Voice
Although I'm starting to feel a lot better today, my voice is still pretty much gone. I can't speak an entire sentence without my voice going out. Not fun at all. I guess I have to just force myself to relax and stop trying to do anything until 5 out of my 10 days have passed.
Ok, I give in. No more strenuous tasks until Thursday.

Health & Fitness - Finally
I got up at about 8 am today and drove myself to the Pahoa Community Medical Center and had them do an examination on me. I was indeed infected with Strep throat. I spoke with a wonderful doctor and he gave me two options: 1 pill everyday for 10 straight days, or a shot. I opted for the shot. So I dropped my pants and expected the worse. It wasn't so bad. I barely felt anything.
At least I know what I have and have taken the precautions to get myself healthier and back on track. I don't want to fall too behind on my Power 90 workout.

Health & Fitness - Ewww
So today is my cousin's graduation ceremony and surprise party. I still feel under the weather but I can function normally until my temperature rises. I still have that nasty nasal drip in the back of my throat. It is so gross. I can't stand it.
My cousin was surprised and I had enough energy to enjoy a bit but retreated to my room to sleep. My temperature is still high, then drops, then rises again. I decided it has been long enough and used my insurance companies physicians online assistance where we can speak with a doctor and he/she can prescribe medication for us. It was a neat experience but was still recommended to get a face 2 face examination for strep throat. It is actually beginning to feel like strep tonight.

Health & Fitness - Bad Choices
Well, today was supposed to be spent finishing up the lawn, but unfortunately my temperature has not stabilized at all. It fell to 98 degrees and went back up almost immediately. I have this irritating nasal drip that seeps into the back of my throat and causes me to spit up all the mucus that is draining from my sinuses. How irritating!
I don't feel entirely out of commission until my temperature rises and I lose all of my energy. I actually have a full appetite and have no problems eating. I think I'll sweat this one out, and I don't mean with Power 90. I need to skip the workouts until I start feeling better.

Health & Fitness - Too Much
So, I do not know who gave me the idea that I was Superman (I prefer Batman), but I spent 6+ hours out in the yard using the weedeater and did my Power 90 Sweat 5-6. Wow, what a day.
Unfortunately, by the time night fall came, I started to feel a bit over worked. I came down with a temperature of 100.8 degrees. Not good sign at all.

Health & Fitness - Dare I Say It!?!
Hmmm, right now I'm holding back a word that is commonly used throughout our family for those pesky family members that spend hours upon hours sitting in front the damn TV playing that irritating Dr. Mario game. Was that jealously you were sensing? Hell to the YEAH! I can't seem to concentrate hard enough to come close to what they have accomplished. We just jokingly call them "addicted."
But, my "______" (still trying not to associate the word with myself) comes from my Power 90 Master Series workouts. I know, I know-it makes you f'in sick. But I can't help it! It's only day three and I love the burn, the pain, and the challenge. It just forces me to think harder, work harder, and push even further. Maybe because it's so unconventional, or maybe I feel like I'm in on some kind of secret. What ever the hell it is, it's making me feel good and I haven't felt this good in a while.
"a" word or not! I'm beginning to enjoy myself!

Health & Fitness - Get Into the Groove!
Today was day 2 of Power 90 Master Series. I was greeted by the pleasant sight of Traci Morrow joining in on the Sweat 5-6 routine. I had delayed my workout till later in the evening out of poor time management and a tinge of procrastination. I always get anxious when trying new things. This new workout was no exception.
Yet again, I was met with a fast paced routine of some new, some odd, and some familiar exercises. Am I complaining? No Way! I absolutely loved it! Huffing and puffing my way through this routine was a constant. Made me feel like I was on day one of the old faithful Power 90 original. I'd have to say that I did pretty good if I should say so myself. Not trying to toot my own horn - or maybe I am. Either way, I have to say for doing this routine for the first time, I did great!
Well, I enjoyed a brownie, but I ain't hating myself for doing so. It was one measly brownie and it actually fit into my nutritional intake...so there! The rest of my meals were great. Simple and easy. Just the way I like it.

Health & Fitness - Ummm, What Just Happened?
Ok, the first day of Power 90 Master Series has just passed and I really don't know what the hell just happened. I have been twisted and turned, jerked and stretched in ways I never knew was possible. I'm officially a newbie again. This workout was so new and mindblowing that I really did not know what just happened.
So I popped in Power 90 MS Scuplt 5-6 and I didn't expect what I got. It was like an amped up Power 90 with a twist. I mean if this was Power 90 MS, then the original Power 90 should be called Power 90 Lite.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I'm actually excited about the challenges that this new series is bringing. I just need to figure out a tracking method that I can utilize. Anyone used Power 90 Master Series and developed an excel transformation tracking spreadsheet? Let me know!

Health & Fitness - A Few Hours Left
I sit here alone, the house is quiet, the day has passed. The week of "rest" is all but a few hours left. I'm entering this new week with mixed feelings. I can't say I have renewed energy, nor can I say I am extremely excited to get this new week started.
What I am excited about is discovering the new and exciting ways that Tony Horton has crafted into the Power 90 Master Series. I really don't know how to explain it, but Tony is a genius when it comes to building muscle strength and endurance. Keep pushing us Tony! You are the best.

Health & Fitness - School
Have you ever felt inadequate? Unworthy? Lost? Beaten down?
I have! Although the picture that I present may often be shiny and happy, I, like many others, face the treachery of life and life's choices. You see, I have never really known what I wanted to do in my life. I never really understood myself entirely. I knew what made me tick, but I really did not know what made me happy. What is it that I truly enjoy with all my heart? What's out there that will drive my mind so crazy that I can't wait to do it again? What puts a smile on my face?
You see, I got the awakening of a lifetime from a very unlikely source. I was caring for a youth that has a series drug addiction problem, combined with some mental health issues. Now although the majority of the words that he spoke could not be taken serious, he brought up a an observation that hit a nerve in me. I almost felt like I was sitting under an interrogation lamp, placed alone in a dark and damp room. I could feel my body quake as those words left his mouth and reached me unprepared ears. He said, "You are unhappy! You are so series! You never smile!."
Now why the hell would I take such a statement so seriously, especially coming from a drug addicted teenager? He was right!
I had just been through a slew of life's challenges and I wasn't enjoying myself or my life. I can't truly say I am enjoying myself or my life at the moment, but I'm trying everyday. I look at myself in a different way now. Not so critical, but more observational. I look at others in the same way as well.
Come Monday, I am going to try and enjoy every moment of working out. Stop dreading it and start appreciating the small and steady successes that I have earned. And as I finish up my last four classes for my Business Administration degree, I'm going to soak up as much information as I possibly can. Engulf myself into each and every moment and slowly begin to enjoy life again.

Health & Fitness - Props
I just wanted to take this time to so a little appreciation to the many Team Beachbody message board members that have helped me achieve a long and often sought after goal: being healthy and fit.
Without your guidance, support, and motivation, I know this journey would have been a chaotic and disappointing process. Each and everyone of you helped me push through all of my challenges that I faced throughout this process and because of each and everyone of you, I am living a better life.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you all! I now truly understand why Beachbody strongly supports it's message board use and community based support. Simply put, it just works.
Thank you again!

Health & Fitness - Bad Food Good Decision
If you have ever seriously gone through a health and fitness transformation, you tend to miss certain foods. Every now and then you crave a burger or fried chicken or anything else that was an everyday food. So we had been talking about McDonald's Big Mac meal and how long it has been since we had one. I actually could not remember the last time I consumed a Big Mac. My visits to McDonalds have always been a side salad with a grilled snack wrap.
Tonight, after doing some errands, we searched for something to eat. Couldn't find anything that we wanted and ended up at McDonalds. Ok, here was my chance to have a Big Mac meal, and I did. It went down so easy, but it really was not as good as I remembered it to be. The fries were salty and oily, the burger was for the most part bland, and the only real flavor came from the "secret sauce."
Interesting experience to say the least. That burger that I used to crave no longer measures up to my level of satisfaction. ODD! Considering I am eating a lot healthier, you would think I would have LOVED the taste. Am I mentally associating my food intake with overall substance? Have I really found satisfaction through consumption of healthier alternatives? I often boost about finding healthy foods that you love!
Well, either way, I'm glad I made the decision to eat it. I probably eat another one in the future (distant future), but my curiosity has been quenched and I have realized that I can find the same satisfaction of off a healthier alternative. Isn't that a shocker!

Health & Fitness - Recovery Week Continues
Hey everyone! I hope you are all continuing to push play and enjoy the wonderful results of living a healthy and fit lifestyle. With this week's recovery week, everyday brings me a little bit of insight on my own personal journey.
I am so grateful to be able to take this time to rest, recover, and reflect. I have made it through the grueling 90 days and boy oh boy was it a journey. It definately was not easy and I can't believe I am standing here able to look back and appreciate the steps that I have climbed to arrive here.
Today, I came to the realization that I am enjoying this recovery week. Not enjoying in the sense of indulging, but enjoying the self-awareness that this week is bringing me. This week is a test of my abilities to "maintain" a healthy and nutritional lifestyle on a "normal" basis. So far, so good. I have allowed my self to indulge a bit, but I have found that we need to allow ourselves that extra room to enjoy a little or we will never be successful.
Recovery Week is in full effect and I am glad to be here!

Health & Fitness - Recovery Week Begins
Hell to the YEAH! It is recovery week and I am loving it. How nice it feels to just relax. Feels GREEAAAATTT!
Today was a simple day. I did my work, tried to get more organized, cleaned up a little, and relaxed. Absolutely lovely! I think by the time this week is over, I will be begging to get back on the health & fitness grind. Or maybe not! We'll just have to wait and see!

Health & Fitness - Rest and Recovery
Everyone needs some time to rest and recover from the treacherous choices that life has to offer each and everyone of us. We are faced with so many decisions a day that we will often forget to take some time to stop, take a deep breath, look around at our lives, and take a break. We all need to take a break!
Have you every heard of the 4 day work week? With all the craziness that this economy has brought upon us, our local county is in talks to have our county workers start a 4 day work week. If you haven't heard of the 4 day work week, it's pretty simple: Work for 4 days for 10 hours each day. Simple huh? Well, in theory, the 4 day work week should cut a lot of costs overall. I can't seem to come up with all of the cost cutting a 4 day work week would provide, but as an employee, I would definately be up for a 4 day work week. That would mean more quality time with my family instead of the always too short 2 day weekend. For some reason, 3 days off always seems just enough.
Well, that my thoughts on rest and recovery. I hope you are enjoying your 2 day weekend. Think of what you could do with a 3 day weekend every week!

Health & Fitness - Changes are a Coming!
Hey all! I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. This week as been an interesting but fairly productive one as well. With this retched economy destroying dreams throughout the world, I hope some glimmer of hope is upon the horizon. I don't know how many more family will have to face the often terrifying knock at the door by the local Sheriff, issuing an eviction notice because they have defaulted on their mortgage loan.
I can honestly say that we have not been the exception to these hard times. There are times where I cannot figure out where I will be able to come up with money to pay even the little bills that we have. Tough, but a reality at times.
Fortunately, I have pounded my head over and over to come up with a probable solution to all of the "mistakes" that I have made of the past few years and I am definitely heading in the right direction. I'm proud to say that all of my hard work and efforts are finally beginning to show some light beyond that long and dark tunnel of debt. It may not be as close as I'd like it, but at least the light is to be seen.
So today is the last day of my Power 90 3-4 regimen. From tomorrow, I take a week off, then continue with Power 90 5-6 in a week and two days. I'm so excited to get started. It has been a while since I have had the urge to push play. I've been pushing play consistantly, but that urge to actually WANT to push play has vanished a few weeks ago. It is slowly returning and I'm excited to have that feeling return.

Health & Fitness - Could it be?
Wow, I have surpassed my 90th day and I have not gotten sick once. But yesterday, I started feeling an odd scratch in my throat. An almost pre-cold symptom. Could it be that I'm actually getting sick? It could. I woke up today with the same feeling. It's not a sore throat, it feels like a sinus cold developing. EWWWW!
Oh well, if it does develop into a cold, at least the timing is right. Next week is my rest week and I can take that time to just relax and recoup, if need be. Let's hope it all works out.

Health & Fitness - Finally!!!
I finally found the time to actually workout in the morning. What a difference it makes. I forgot how much easier it makes the day when you workout in the morning. That lingering burden of knowing that you have to workout is not lingering over your head constantly throughout the day, you can focus on the tasks that you must complete, and you just feel so much better.
I enjoyed my Power 90 Sculpt 3-4 workout immediately after my morning meeting finished. Tomorrow, I hope to be able to workout first thing in the morning, leaving me the entire day to do everything that needs to be completed before the weekend begins.
It seems to be fairly easy to maintain this "lifestyle." The nutrition and the workouts feel great. It almost feels natural...dare I say.

Health & Fitness - The Hot Weather Continues
Wow! What a freaking hot day! Yesterday was 88 degrees, today is about 89 degrees. I am so not looking forward to heat of summer. Not fun at all! I can barely stand it as it is. It feels like this summer is going to be a hot one! Thank goodness we have a pool to cool off in.
Well, today went great for myself. I ate healthy, continued on my work, worked out to Power 90 3-4 Sweat and enjoyed myself! I have new workout clothes. They are supposed to help with all the persperation and all. I have a Champion Muscle T and shorts. They are both made out of this really light and airy fabric that is supposed to help with persperation and odor. I just got it because it was a comfortable and light fabric to wear. It was pretty awesome to have on. Definately light. It fit comfortably and wasn't an obstruction when I was doing my workout!

Health & Fitness - Catching Up to Do!
Well, back to reality today. Exercise, eat healthy, work, work, and work some more.
Today was actually a fairly pleasant day. I enjoyed getting things back in order and catching up on all of the emails and message boards. So much to do and it feels good to be able to catch up.
My workout went well today although I was a bit winded and got a little light headed as I did Power 90 3-4 Sculpt. I think it was my body adjusting to going back to the normal routine and the hot weather did not help either.
I'm still a bit backed up on my week 8-12 videos and I took my 90th day picture and just need to finish it up and post it. I'm so excited to see the side by side comparison.

Health & Fitness - Still Tired
So we flew home today. It was a fairly early flight, so again we didn't get much sleep. We got home, unpacked everything, turned our air conditioner on, and went to sleep. Boy oh boy, how wonderful that felt. Who would have thought that you would need to rest after taking a vacation? Mental note: More vacation next time and less running around!
I enjoyed myself though. I forgot to talk about Mama Mia. It was incredible. If it comes to a city near you, you MUST go and see it! Amazing performances by every single cast member. I loved it!

Health & Fitness - Another Tiresome Day
Ok, so new rule! Anyone that travels with us must TRAVEL WITH US. No more of this come a day later and leave a day earlier stuff. Our wonderful and kind Aunt left this evening and we basically had to build our day around her leaving. It wasn't fun. We basically left at 8 am and stayed out until 12 am. Not fun at all!
Oh, we ate at this phenominal resturant called "Buca di Beppe." Italian food at its finest. Wow! That's all I can say, "WOW!" You have to try it if you have one near you.

Health & Fitness - Tired
So after getting back to the hotel room at about 12 am, we went to bed and had to get up early to pick up our Aunt from the airport. Her reservations was for a day after us, but she arrove at about 7 am in the morning. That meant we were going to be exhausted. We did some shopping around town, headed to California Pizza Kitchen and shared two amazingly delicious salads and a Mighthy Mushroom Pizza. It was perfect for the four of us. After lunch, we headed back to the hotel room. The plan was to get ourselves ready to workout, but I was so exhausted after the crazy week and little sleep, I opted out and took a nap. It felt so good to rest and not worry about a thing.

Health & Fitness - Vacation Time
I can't believe it! My vacation is finally here. I have been awaiting these few days for months and it has finally arrived. The whole premise of this trip is to go and watch the Broadway production "Mama Mia." It is said to be a phenominal performance and although I'm not a huge fan of the movie, I still enjoy a good "play."
So I made sure I worked out before I headed to the airport. That wasn't much of a problem because our flight left at 9 pm. Once we got to Oahu, we went to have dinner at Wailana. Never been a fan of Wailana, but we were hungry and that was the closest thing open. Our meal was so so. I did the breakfast deal and ate eggs and pancakes. I watched my portion size, but did indulge a bit. I couldn't find anything healthy on the menu until my order had been placed and I turned the table card around to see a Salmon burger available. Oh well, it's vacation time!

Health & Fitness - It's Almost Here
What can I say! It's been a rough 85+ days for me. It's been crazy, chaotic, stressful, sad, depressing, challenging, etc. You know what though, I'm almost there! I only have a few more days left and when I hit that 90th day, I'm going to celebrate! I have not given up. I have not stopped pushing play. There have been days when I wanted to walk away and quit, but I didn't and that makes me proud to be who I am now.
Today was a better day for my younger youth. Almost a 100% turn around. I think he realized what his actions offered him - absolutely nothing! He didn't get what he wanted, a free pass, and he definately felt the consequences of being drenched in the rain and the pain from walking wasn't very nice either.
I had a wonderful day getting things done, working out, and eating right, but I do have to admit that this last few weeks have a little boring working out to Power 90 3-4. I guess because it's the same routine over and over and over. Don't get me wrong! It's a great product that I have gained a lot from, but it just becomes mundane after a while. I'm actually looking forward to doing the Power 90 Master Series where there are more options and workouts. It is said to rival P90X so I'm pumped to get started.

Health & Fitness - Good Intentions, Bad Results
After yesterdays fiasco of Mr. 17 year old walking out of our house to "run away," I had my younger youth copy Mr. 17 year old. My younger had a rough day at school, as he has been having over the past few weeks. He came home and decided to copy Mr. 17 year old and "run away." Of course, I didn't stop him, it was raining out side and everyone knows the rules of the house. You run, we call the police. Unfortunately, that is exactly what I ended up doing. The police came by, I gave them the information and eventually my younger child showed up at an acquaintance's house. They were kind enough to get in contact with us and I picked him up.
As all of this was happening, I was trying to workout. It's almost impossible to workout when you have police at your door, phone calls coming in, people asking questions, and the blazing responsibility of this child on your hands. After I picked him up, I decided to direct all of my anger and fustration into my workout! I was doing Power 90 Sweat 3-4 and jumped higher that I could imagine, lifted my knees to my chest, did jumping jacks faster than ever, kicked higher, and punched harder and fast then I could possibly imagine. Boy did it feel good! All of the fustration and angst left my body and I was in a better mood after I had completed my workout!

Health & Fitness - Walk it Out!
I can't believe how these past few weeks have been progressing. My kids are going crazy and it is beginning to have me question my abilities as a parent. I know I can be extremely patient and understand, but these past few days and weeks have really had me in question. Not by anyone else, but just by myself.
I don't know if you ever get into these situations where you are get to a point when things are beginning to go downhill. Whether by your own fault or just by chance, these situation take a toll on you. I know deep down I am doing my best as a positive role model, but this is getting to be almost too much for me to handle.
Tonight, after my 17 year old visitor tried to argue his way to get me to fix the phone as I was working out, he decided to go into my room and grab the phone he knew he had no access to. I pulled the plug out and he said he was leaving. I didn't stop him, but reminded him that we would have to contact the police. Fortunately, he walked out but just went back to his "home."

Health & Fitness - Rest & Recovery
Today is a day of rest and recovery. I had been looking forward to today because we are going to eat Potatoe Salad and Meatloaf with Gravy. Hellz Yeah! Today is our rest and enjoy day. That usually means that I allow myself one meal of enjoyment and relax all day long.
I definately did that! I worked really hard this week and I made a few adjustments in my workout routine to stop the plateau effect I had going on. It worked! I am now 173 lbs and I'm so happy!

Health & Fitness - How Many Days Till My Vacation?
As it has been over the past week, today was a day of craziness. While still being graced with the presence of my 17 year old visitor, we were getting ready to go to a party. I worked out in the morning and my energy levels were high. My younger child earned back his privileges and everything was going smoothly. Time came to get dressed so we could leave. I told the 17 year old to get ready and he had the nerve to adamantly refuse. I told myself, "Self, if there way any time that it would be ok to slap a child across their face, now would be the time!" I laughed that little thought off (sometimes we need to use humor to survive) and strategized. It did not work. Basically, my 17 year old and I remained home while everyone else went to enjoy the party. The 17 year lost his phone privileges and tried aimlessly to get it back. That didn't work for him. You can only imagine how upset I really was.
Good thing about it, is that I did not have to face the choices of the food that were served at the party. I stayed home and could eat as healthy as I wanted. :)

Health & Fitness - Will the Craziness Ever Stop
Today the younger kids had the day off. My 17 year old that I am watching actually decided to go to school after he found out the consequences for his actions yesterday. At about 12:00 pm we ventured back into town picked up the 17 year old and went to the grocery store. We picked up a few things and ventured over to another grocery store. My 17 year old had the nerve to tell me "Why the hell are we here for?" I couldn't believe what my ears fricken heard. He pursued to argue about the validity of stopping at a second store and proclaimed his important list of things to do at home. Of course, I took the theraputic option and allowed him to vent, but eagerly disagreed with his points.
When we returned home, the kids decide to amp up their behaviors and start tantruming. Not fun!
So, I, again with no motivation, place my Power 90 DVD into my computer and start my workout. Fortuantely, I do recieve some bit of a boost from working out and I have come to enjoy it a lot more than before. Getting started lately has been a problem, but once I'm going - I'm good!

Health & Fitness - Let the Craziness Continue
Ok, so today started off terrible and did not get any better! AT ALL! WTF! Seriously! Do we have a fricken full moon out or something! Man!
I really don't even know where to start. When I woke up, I got the kids ready for school. That went fairly well. The older child (17 yo) refused to get up and go to school. I let that go and told him the consequences for his choices would come later. A few hours later, I begin getting phone calls from the Elementary school. My other youth is not going to class and is refusing to go. Another few hours later and another call comes and I need to go and pick him up. UGH!
So, we have two appointments to attend and we struggle through each appointment as my younger youth refuses to speak. UGH! I really tried my best to hold my composure throughout this entire day and I must say I did fairly well. I know of many folks that would seriously ring the hell out of each child physcially and vocally.
So, we returned home at about 6:00 pm and luckily the craziness ends there. I struggled to motivate myself to workout today because everything was just crazy and I just wanted to lay down and do absolutely nothing! Have you ever had those days? You know, where you just want to veg the hell out and do nothing. Well, today was a day that I definately felt like doing that.
Fortunately, I didn't do that. I weighed my options and swayed in favor of doing my Power 90 workout. Although I had continuous interruptions, I powered through the whole process and actually finished it up.

Health & Fitness - Time Goes By Fast
Today has been so challenging. Time flew by so fast. I got up, had my breakfast, got started on my work and before I knew it, it was time to leave. It has been a huge challenge for me lately to motivate myself enough to get started. A few days ago I tweaked my knee and it's been sore for some time. I have always had knee problems throughout my life,so this is nothing new to me. I think I brought it too hard when I did my Power 90 Sweat 3-4 workout. I was doing my front to back hops and I think I was jumping too high and too far. Luckily, I've been using my knee brace to aid my Sculpt and Sweat workouts and it has helped me a lot.
Today went fairly well as far as meals. I really didn't have any problems at all. Time was a challenge, but I think I am getting more and more comfortable with my nutrition.

Health & Fitness - "Fat"
Today is our second day, and last day for this week, of flying. Things definitely went a lot smoother. We had more than enough time to sit back, relax, and take our time. We got to Oahu early and sat around as I ate my breakfast, leisurely went to the pick-up spot for our taxi and within five minutes our taxi was there calling our names. We go to our appointment early and my nephew was taken in early. PERFECT! As he had some dental work done, I browsed the internet, did some work and located the movie times at a nearby theater. I was surprised to see that Star Trek had an eleven o’ clock showing that would fit perfectly into our day. My nephew walked out at about 10:30 am and we walked over to the theaters. There were so many people in line; it was a surprise and a delight to see. Often times, during the week, the theaters are empty. Today, it was filled with people going to see both Star Trek and Wolverine.
So here is my personal review of Star Trek. I missed possibly the first three minutes of the movie, but that didn’t matter because I walked in just in time to catch the opening. The movie is 2 hours long and definitely worth the admission. At one point, it got a tiny bit confusing, but they quickly explained the whole story line and the rest of the movie was a blast. It is a refreshing re-adaption of an older classic as the story line weaves effortlessly throughout the movie as JJ Abrams introduces the “new” USS Enterprise and its crew members. 5 out of 5
As my Power 90 journey begins to whine down, I am facing a lot of barriers with weight loss. I have not loss as much weight as in my first two months, but I can definitely see the definition in my body slowly beginning to change. I wish my “spare tire” would shrink faster. It is such a symbol of my former self that still lingers. I still feel “fat” because I don’t see nor feel the tight six pack that I will one day develop. The reality is that I have never had a six pack, so to achieve one would be a remarkable achievement.
My next round with Power 90 is going to begin sometime at the opening of June. I forgot the exact day that we decided on, but I believe it was the 6th of June. I’m excited to begin this next phase because it will be totally new for me. I have never done Power 90 MS and I heard that it may even rival P90X. I think it.

Today was an early day. Woke up at 4:30 AM and got my nephew ready for our trip to Oahu. I forgot to pack my nephew’s medical release information. I also forgot the contact information for his Doctor. I know, I know! Bad Parent! I have earned some negative points as a parent. I had to use my resourcefulness and technology to search the internet for my nephew’s doctor, via cell phone, contact my PC to locate the medical release information and have my PC fax it over to my nephew’s Doctor. What would I do without technology!
Well, upon that, we got to the doctor and my nephew ate something before we headed to the airport and it was a few hours too late to be eating. So we have to reschedule his appointment for June. I decided to just go back to the airport and see if there is a way that we could get on an earlier flight. The agent said that they don’t do stand by. But, blaring over her soft and customer service friendly voice, an announcement was made for another destination that was taking in any interested customers that wanted to take an earlier flight. I figured I’d just sit it out, pop in a movie and cross my fingers and hope there are going to be a few seats available for us to take.
Pending…
Update – So we didn’t get on an early flight and had to sit through three other flights going to the same place that we were going to. I bit irritating, but that was ok. Sometimes you have to just grin and bear it.
When I got home, I immediately went to workout. I didn’t want to put myself in a situation where I would have to sacrifice my Sunday again and possibly not have a break for a week and a half. I hate when I have to do that. It is not fun and I really don’t like it.

Health & Fitness - My Break is Finally Here!
Wow! What can I say! I finally made it to my rest day. I really am exhausted, slept for 7 hours last night, went for brunch with my mother, came home, and went back to bed. I was SOOO exhausted. I guess all the emotional stress upon the non-stop working out finally took a toll on my body. No matter how conditioned you are, we all need to just take a step back and breathe. Take a break! Let our bodies rejuvenate!
I felt so much better after I woke up from my nap. I was in a daze for an hour or so, but after my sleepiness had lifted, I felt great! Energized, refreshed, renewed. My sore muscles had gone away and I could think clearer than ever. What a difference sleep makes!
I for one, love to sleep! I wish I could sleep 8-9 hours every single day! I love it! Sleep is one of the most healthiest ways to nurse and rejuvenate our bodies. Sleep is what doctors prescribe when you are ill.
I'm so happy my break is finally here!

Health & Fitness - The Weekend
Well, today is Saturday and is the last day of my workout schedule. I finally get to rest after a week and a half of non-stop working out. I think it has taken a tool on my body and I'm beginning to feel exhausted. What an odd week! I must admit that it has been a week of learning and growing. I grew an age older and I learned more about my own health needs.
Question: Does anyone know of any REAL books about nutrition? I want something that will help me better educate myself with the best and natural ways to eat healthy. Suggestions greatly appreciated! Now, with that in mind, I don't want any diet books. I don't want any fad diets! Nothing like that! Just a good and dependable nutrition book.
That wraps up today's blog entry. I hope you all have had a wonderful week. Thanks for reading and have a wonderful weekend!

Health & Fitness - Finally
Ok peeps! I finally cracked the code, well sort of! I consumed enough calories and met 2 out of 3 macronutrient requirements. Yeeehaw! The only problem I had was with my fat intake. I believe I am short by 10 grams of fat and I sure ain't stressing about that at all.
Now, Beachbody has an amazing customizable meal program that takes into account the amount of calories you need a day and automatically finds foods that will meet your exact caloric intake requirements. Then, it will allow you to print out a shopping list and recipes. Isn't that amazing? If you haven't joined Beachbody yet, you have to.
Click Here to Join Beachbody or copy this address: http://bit.ly/2dvd
With all that I am eating, I feel so weird because I am really do feel full all day long. In fact, I feel overfull, if that is a word. I feel like I am eating too much. I really enjoy it though, besides filling me up it also gives me enough energy to push through my Power 90 3-4 workouts, as well as my failure sets.
I can't believe I finally cracked the caloric code! I thought it would take me a few weeks to do so. Celebration!

Health & Fitness - Busy
What a day! I have these days every now and then when my schedule is back to back, minute to minute. I had one of those "every second counts and I can't afford to fall behind" days. I woke up and started on my work. Got a bunch of things done, gathered the piles and piles of clothes that had been neglected, because of travel and other things that have been going on over the past few weeks, worked out and ran out of the house to pick up my two nephews. We rushed over to the laundry mat, oh how I miss my washer, and began the long and arduous process of loading the clothes, waiting, drying, and so on! Took me a good 2.5 hours of washing, drying, and folding to get to finish. In the meantime, I found some cigarette butts in my 9 year old nephew's pockets. AHHH! I can no longer count the grey hair on my head.
Anyway, I got home and had enough time to unload the car, cook dinner for the boys, jump on the treadmill for a 30 minute jog, cook dinner for myself, and finally take a shower.
With all that had to be done today, I really did not have much time to manage my caloric intake and was short by almost 300 calories. I'm letting it go!

Health & Fitness - Dealing
What to say! What to say! Today was a fairly normal day. I have been aching to get myself out of the house to go for a jog, but it has either been impossible, because I have been watching my younger nephew, too late, or it was raining. I'm going to make it my mission to go for a jog twice this week...whether I like it or not!
I think I'm beginning to get exhausted. I haven't had a rest day for a week now and I'm tired in the morning. No rest day until Sunday! Sniffle! Sniffle! Oh well, we all have to make sacrifices every now and then.
As far as my caloric intake...All is going fairly smooth. It still is a challenge for me to figure out the exact recipe to meet my caloric needs and my macronutrient needs. It's a bit fustrating, but hopefully I'll crack the code soon!

Health & Fitness - So Much Better
What a difference a day makes. Today was so much easier to handle, when it comes to exercising and food intake. I felt normal as my Power 90 Sweat 3-4 routine progressed. My energy levels were normal to high and when I added more cardio (treadmill,) I actually jogged for a good 25 minutes.
The only think that I am concerned with is that I still was unable to meet my minimum amount of caloric needs. I believe I was short a good 200 calories. I felt like I was stuffing my face. I know understand the importance of spreading out your meals into 3 main meals and 2 "snacks." If you only eat 3 meals a day, you are going to have a difficult time meeting your caloric needs. Eating 5 meals allows you to spread these caloric needs out so you will not only feel full the entire day, but you will also be able to consume enough food to not feel overstuffed. I find it so facinating that I can actually eat more now that I am getting closer to the mid range of a healthy body. It's nice to know I can eat healthy and be filled completely.
Of course I want to exceed that and not only be healthy, but take it up a notch and be ripped and strong. That is my next phase that I am looking forward to. I know I still need to make the neccessary adjustments to my food intake, but I'll eventually crack the code sooner or later.

Health & Fitness - Awakening
Ok! So today was a weird day for me. I threw everything to the back burner to await my return tomorrow. At the same time, I felt the need to be doing something. It was as if I could not allow myself to rest and enjoy. My mind and body wanted to move and do things. I guess this mindset is what has been keeping me going for the past 65+ days. Go, go, go! Don't stop!
Well, something happened today that was quite a bit of an awakening. I had just finished my Power 90 3-4 Sculpt routine and jumped straight into Ab Ripper 200 without hesitation. I could feel myself beginning to feel a bit light headed, but thought nothing of it. I continued through my Ab Ripper 200 without any problems. As I stood up to do my side bends, after I finished my Ab Ripper 200 routine, I felt weak. I felt as if I had been without any sort of liquid or food for ages. I turned on the fan thinking it was just too hot, but that did not help at all. I dropped the weights and went to mix my Shakeology. The smell of the powder overwhelmed me and I could feel my insides beginning to heave. Oh My Gosh! I collapsed onto the kitchen sink and could feel the ever so unpleasant feeling of myself throwing up. EWWW! What the F*&k was going on with me?
Well, I figured it out. Apparently, I am not eating as much as I thought I was. I still am about 400 calories short and with all the rigourous activity that I have been doing, my body could not handle the amount of activity that I have been putting myself through. Lesson: Be sure you are eating enough!
This brought back a HUGE flashback of my last Power 90 attempt. It was almost exactly at this point that I had been having dizzy spells and ended up having a low sugar count.
So, I'm going to be seriously reviewing and calculating my caloric intake to ensure I am eating enough. I definately want to make it through my 90 days and with this adjustment, all should be good.

Health & Fitness - Rest!?
Today, I had to pick up my Sweat 3-4 because time did not allow me to work out on Wednesday. I switched my rest day. Today was a pretty busy day. We had guests over in the afternoon. That normally means a lot of fattening food and no healthy food. Luckily, we barbecued today and I enjoyed the steaks and ribs, but tried to stay away from the carbs and fat.
My Sweat 3-4 went fairly well today. No obvious struggle and everything went smoothly. I jumped on the treadmill after I completed my Ab Ripper 200 and jogged for 20 minutes and felt great afterwards.
Dinner was more of the same thing, steak and ribs. No rice, minimum fat, but I did try my favorite Mauna Loa Macadamianut Chocolate Chip Cookies. MMMMM! Those cookies are so good.

Health & Fitness - Making Adjustments
This evening I have a dinner at a local hotel here in Hilo, Hawaii. It is a Seafood and Hawaiian food buffet with a fairly good amount of variety to choose from. I'm trying to prepare myself mentally by walking myself through the buffet line in my head and reminding myself to stay away from the carbs and fatty foods. Fish and steak! It seems so easy now, but when you get to that train of food staring at you, as the aroma rises up and greets your senses, you sometimes buckle at the knees and you may find it difficult to resist.
Today's workout program was with Power 90 Sculpt 3-4. I still love Sculpt. It can be a challenge to push through, especially doing the lunge squats, but I thoroughly enjoy it. You can feel the development beginning to happen and you can see your muscles contract as you power through each move.
Wish me luck tonight as I make adjustments and brave through the buffet battlefield.

Health & Fitness - Release
Today, I awoke wish and I could feel the pressures of the week begin to lift. Although I know I have a lot of catching up to do, I could feel myself beginning to release a lot of the pressure I have placed upon myself. I know I place myself into situations that stretch both my patience and my time, but I'm the type of person that feels that I need to try to help out. Whether it is a small or big contribution, I always feel the need to help out. I hate knowing that I had to be a little selfish to begin a career in the travel industry. Where did that get me? Not very far, especially with the wonderful economy we are all trying to cope with. So sometimes, I actually feel obligated to help out to make up for the many times I spent away from those that may have needed some assistance.
Today, I did my Sweat 3-4 routine. It went well and I have no complaints. I do feel my body beginning to adjust to the intensity of Sweat 3-4 and everytime I press play I can see myself getting closer and closer to matching and surpassing Tony Horton in the DVD. Oh how good it would feel to match and surpass Tony.

Health & Fitness - Last Goodbye
As we laid our grandmother to rest today, the vog lifted and the skies cleared. My grandmother was finally resting in peace and now she can join her husband forever. As unexpected and as sad as her passing has been, I am constantly reminded of that dream I had the night before she went into the hospital. I do believe it was my grandfather that wanted to send a message letting me know that she is going to be alright.
Funerals here in Hawaii, often bring forth a wealth of donuts, pastries, and an endless amount of food to be eaten. I stayed away from the donuts and pastries. That really wasn't a challenge. I don't crave those types of things anymore. Luckily, our parents opted for the restaurant route instead of a gathering at the home with a huge pot luck going on. I was happy to have found an Grilled Citrus Ahi in Miso Vinaigrette on the menu and jumped at it immediately. It was delicious and as I sat down with my grandmother and aunt, I learned a lot from them and enjoyed our conversation.
After we dropped my grandmother and aunt off at the airport and said our "goodbyes," we ventured back to the gravesite and said our final goodbye to our grandmother.

Health & Fitness - Rest
Sometimes, we have days when we just seem to breeze through the daylight hours enjoying the moments that pass. Other days, every second that ticks past the clock seems likes a year of agony. Today, was a combination of both. The time flew by, but every moment that passed seemed like a beating of disappointment and failure.
I opted to use today as my rest day so I could focus on finishing the collage with my mother. After last nights painful discovery of not having any ink in my printer, I opted to use my mother's printer for the time being. The picture quality of her laser color printer was terrible. No matter what type of paper used, it seemed artificial and amateurish. The, her wonderful printer greeted us with a familiar ring. BEEP! Out of ink! More disappointment and failure.
My father rushed off to pick up my other Grandmother and Aunt and stopped by the store to pick up some ink for both printers and my mother and I hurriedly rushed to cut out pictures and double stick tapped them to the board. I couldn't even be there to finish it because I needed to pick up my nephew and drive to pick up our "respite" youth. Needless to say, I drove down to pick up our "respite" youth for no reason. They had been picked up already and no one was generous enough to call me and let me know. Wasted 30 minutes for nothing.
Luckily, I made it a few minutes after the viewing at my grandmother's funeral, shook hands, exchanged hugs with my Uncles, Aunts and cousin (Captain Sherry Thompson) and shyed back into the 2nd row.
Our collage was a miniscule success, but that was not what mattered. We were there to pay respects to a beautiful woman that taught us so many things, guided us through childhood, and supported our decisions in life.
By the close of the funeral parlor, the collage had begun to fall apart, but it was ok. We poured our hearts into it and although we wish we had more available time to polish it, my grandmother knew we put as much thought and care into it.

Health & Fitness - Pressure Build, Time to Quit?
Hey loyal readers! I wanted to take a quick moment to thank you all for reading my blog, whether you catch a glimpse of it on Facebook or on my blog page at http://www.justensonlinenetwork. I appreciate the wonderful comments and suggestions that everyone has been sending me through emails, comments, or IM's.
So, at this very moment, I can feel my blood boiling like an overheated pot of water. Today was not a very friendly day for myself. Yesterday, my parents got a call (I won't go into details) that meant my parents would have to house a few people, possibly for the next 90 days. So my mother asked me to assist her and get things organized and ready. Not a problem, but I already was a week backed up on everything else I had to do. So, I offered to take my father to his doctor's appointment and sat back and listened to his fustration with everything as of late and could only hear my thoughts ramble about on how I really didn't want to be driving him around and needed to do a list of other things.
Don't get me wrong! I absolutely love my father! The situation compiled with the seemingly never ending task list just did not put me in a mood to listening to someone else talk about their "problems."
So, after my father's appointment was finished, we went up to my grandmother's house and I cleaned up a little to get the house ready for the gathering after the funeral and burrial.
We then rushed back to my home to pick up my nephew, I had him do his chores and we headed back to my father's home. Unfortunately, my mother had not left a list of things to do and everything was a mess. So I just cleaned up where ever I felt needed straigtening up.
I needed to move my car out of the garage so my mother could park there and rolled my car back. As my car rolled back, it began to speed up. I pumped the break and nothing happened. I tried again. Nothing! I yanked the wheel. Nothing! I started to freak out. Before I could comprehend what was going on, BOOM. I crashed into my father's parked "project car."
The overwhelming rush of emotions that flooded my body was simply unexplainable. I wanted to throw my hands up and quit! Quit everything and run away!
Not only did I have a week's worth of catching up to do, a collage to produce in 24 hours, but I just added a major financial burden upon myself. I think I was soo overwhelmed with emotions that I had no emotions left. I had morphed into a stone.
I then just decided to go home. Go home and try to figure out a way to decompress before I lost it. Luckily it was Tuesday and I could redirect all my bent up anger and fustration on the silliness of American Idol. Everyone did superbly well, except Matt and boy did get it from me.
After a few glasses of wine and a comical performance from Matt, I was feeling a bit more at ease. I ventured into my office and decided to print out pictures. The fist picture started and the printer pulled the paper from the tray. BEEP! Out of Ink!

Health & Fitness - Choices
Pressure can be extremely complicated and often overwhelming. The stress that life brings can drive someone insane. I can see how a sane person can lose their grip and do something that another would think of as unimaginable. I'm not saying that it is excusable for someone to do things that could harm themselves or others, I'm just saying I can see the path that they would have taken to get to that point. Some people deal with far worse situations that I could ever dream of. That is why we all need to take care of ourselves. We cannot neglect our mental, physical, and health needs. If we do, we are going to end up doing something that we will never be able to undo and live a life in a concrete suite at the silver palace.
I have been blessed with many experiences, both good and bad. I have learned through the many mistakes that I have stumbled upon and I have grown stronger by the good choices that I have made throughout my life. If you need some help, some guidance, some advice, seek help from a friend, family member, or even through professional help. There is always someone out there with an open ear that is willing to sit down and hear what you have to say. As complicated as the world may seem, many of us share the same experiences, challenges, tragedies, hardships, accomplishments, goals, and more.
I am grateful that I found solace in the love and support of my loved ones, they have given me the guidance and assistance that I have needed throughout my many trials and tribulations, but they have always been their to lift me up when I succeed.

Health & Fitness - Coming Home
Exhaustion is the word of the day. Wait! The week! It has been crazy and all I can think about is everything else I need to do when I get home. So much to do and so little time to do it. Grandma's funeral is on Wednesday, I have to pick up Clarence, finalize my 4 assignments and exam by tomorrow, and get caught up with all of my work.
I'm constantly weighing in on what I need to put on the side and health & fitness always comes up. It is so easy to just push it aside and use that extra time to get caught up. I already have those damn excuses building in my head, "It's only for now," "I'll get back on it," "I have to sacrifice something."
At the same time, I'm replaying the excuses of past and it seems like a broken record every time I tried to get healthy and fit. Something that I perceive as more important comes up (getting sick, personal matters, etc.) and I immediately revert back to the same excuses that I had used before. Amazingly, I believed every single excuse each time they came up. I believed that it was only a temporary situation and that I was going to get back on it. I actually believed that I would be able to just jump right back on it like nothing had ever happened.
This time around, although I am facing the same challenges, I have come to this with a better understand of not only the key elements of living a healthier and fit life, but also the gift of self-evaluation. I have been able to look back at my past and pin point my patterns, habits, weaknesses and honestly analyze how they affected my outcome and how I can adjust my current choices to ensure I become successful.
With that being said, I am not a robot or I have not found the pot of gold in health and fitness. I still face these every day challenges. Making positive choices and taking it a step at a time.
If I could ever offer a piece of advice when it comes to living a healthier and fit life, that would be to find a support group that understands what you are going through. Use them as your sounding board. Bitch, moan, grown, and tell them how you feel because they will understand and they will help you get through any challenge you may face.
If you are in need of a support group. I know of a free and wonderful group that I live by. Health & Fitness Support

Health & Fitness - Still Pushing Forward
When it comes to exercising, it can be such a challenge. Sometimes when I get started, all I can really think about is quiting and walking away. Every day is a different experience. Some days I am jolted with a boost of energy that fills my body from head to toe as I begin my Power 90, other days may take a while to feel up to the challenge. When I don't feel up to the challenge, I really don't feel energized until the whole process has been completed. Then that rush of accomplishment and motivation floods my body. I often have to remind myself of these feelings before I get started, or I would just shut down and choose to not workout.
Today was quite busy. We picked up my father in the morning and headed back to the hotel so he could rest. My Aunt and family wanted to stop by to visit. So as they made their way over, I opted to hit the road and exercise. When I got back, they were finding parking amongst the hectic streets of Waikiki, which gave me a few minutes to wash up and cool down.
It is so night to see them. It has been years since the last time I had seen them. My Aunty Dee Dee, Cousin Doris, Doris' Husband Donte, and their son came to visit my father.
My Aunt looked so good. Her cancer is in remission and it is so wonderful to she her spirits so high and see her still pushing forward. If that isn't motivation, I don't know what is.

Health & Fitness - Waiting
So, the hotel we are staying at is under construction, so we can hear the faint sounds of banging and crashing every morning. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous, but I couldn't get a restful night's sleep.
Today, my father is supposed to get discharged from the hospital, but the doctor decided to keep him in until the morning. The doctor wanted to be sure that everything is ok before he sends my father home.
The doctor came in at about 9 pm, just as visiting hours were over, so we spent our entire day waiting. At one point, I fell asleep on the chair in the hospital. I was tired. Luckily, I got my workout in early in the morning and all was set for the day. Gotta love it!
But until tomorrow, my father needs to wait to be sure all is good.

Health & Fitness
So, my father went into surgery today in the afternoon. This gave me some time to remove myself and occupy my mind with something else rather than the many thoughts as of late. So I used some bands than we had purchased last night so I could do my Sculpt 3-4. It takes some adjusting and time to get used to the bands, but they actually do provide for a good workout. I was pleasantly surprised.
After I had completed my workout, I went for a 30 minute jog. Man, I am surprising myself everday. I actually jogged non-stop for 25 minutes, then sprinted the last 5. What is going on?
Meals came fairly easy. I had an expensive meal at the hospital's cafeteria that cost me $14.00 and some odd cents. Wasn't worth it when I'm a fan of McDonald's $1.00 side salad. That's pretty hard to beat.
So after my father's surgery, we returned and he looked really good. He was on pain medication, but he looked really upbeat and comfortable. I was so happy to see him!

Health & Fitness - Guess Where I Went!
Ok people. I so want to talk about where I went today, but I can't. I decided, as I was there, to do a vlog on this experience because it was so significant. I don't want to reveal too much, but I do want to say that I validated a lot of my personal (I repeat, "personal") feelings about these types of places.
I'll give you three clues and I'm not going to talk about it until I post my vlog and my blog about today's experience.
1. People fill these places.
2. Money often gets waisted here.
3. There is a "g" some where in the name of these places.
I think you'll be able to figure it out! If not, await my future vlog and blog about these places. Sorry for the lack of information today. But, I really really really want to save this for a future vlog and blog. Until then, guess where I went!

Health & Fitness - A Nice Surprise
Today was a wonderful day to workout. I decided that I needed to take some time to do some work before I worked out. It allowed me to wake up and focus a little more. When I began my Power 90 Sweat 3-4, I brought it like I have never brought it before. I was so impressed with my endurance level. I lasted throughout the whole routine, did Ab Ripper 200, and did a brisk walk/job on my treadmill. What the heck!
Upon that, I took my 60 day photos and after comparing my Day 1 and Day 60 photos, I was nicely surprised by what I saw. Such a difference! I wallowed in the pride that I felt as I edited the photo so it fit on my comparison banner.
You know what! So man people say this, but I'm going to say it as well. If I could do this, anyone can! If you are looking to be healthier and fit, do it! You'll be greeted with a nice surprise like I have!
Check out my photo below:

Health & Fitness - Rock it Out
So I don't know exactly what the day is today in my Power 90 program, but I am going to take my 60 day pictures tomorrow. I can't wait! I'm so excited that I have made it this far and have some how managed to find enough strength and motivation to move forward after all that I have faced, all that I am currently facing, and all that I will continue to face in the future.
One tip that I can offer is to keep your goals written out and visible. Everyday, when I sit down at my desk, I see my long term goals, my monthly goals, and my weekly goals. It motivates me everyday to push forward and not only strive to meet my weekly goals, but to meet my monthly and long term goals as well. I keep reminding myself that everyday is a step closer to my long term goals and that with every failure that I face, I become one failure closer to success!
We cannot expect to be perfect! No one is perfect!
Well, today was exciting knowing that I am closing in on my be 60 and approaching my big 90. I did my Power 90 Sculpt 3-4, Ab Ripper 200, and went for a jog in my neighborhood. I cannot say enough how much I enjoying being outdoors. It is such an amazing feeling to be out doing something healthy and feeling the sun and fresh air. I just love it!
I have decided that this next, and last, phase in my Power 90 program is going to be my shining moment. I'm going to rip it apart and rock it out! Bringing It Everyday!

Health & Fitness - Family
Today was spent at my grandmother's reminiscing on the many pictures and objects that filled my grandparent's house and made it a home that we all loved and enjoyed. Even the smallest thing like a pencil sharpener reminds generations of us of how we have grown and times have changed.
It still feels weird to be closing this door on their lives. To know that one day that house could hold a new family and that we will no longer have our holiday meals and celebrations there.
I know I will always have them in my heart and soul and I will always keep them there as a reminder of where I come from and where I need to go.
Today's health and fitness is family! Spending quality time with your family can be the greatest cure for everyone's woos and worries.

Health & Fitness - Take it Outside
So today was supposed to be a day spent at my grandmother's house cleaning and removing things. Other matters had to be tended to before we could begin, so I spent my morning at the park playing two rounds of tennis.
Now if you are new to tennis, like me, you can understand the frustration that I held throughout the two matches that I played. My first match was a huge disappointment as I lost 6-0. If you could only feel how badly I wanted to throw that tennis racket on the court! AHHHH! It was so irritating! Now the second match took almost 30 minutes to complete. That is quite long for two amateurs. It was a battle to say the least! I shined at the last and most important time to take the match at 6-4.
We then began around the running track that surrounds the park. At times the incline becomes steep and at other ares it's flat and smooth. I love the challenge that it presents and try to round the park seven times. Unfortunately, we had to leave earlier than I expected and I topped out at four times around the park. Not bad! Definitely still a worthy workout.
The park was definitely the distraction that I needed at this time. I was encouraged to see how my endurance level has changed. I can now run the same length without huffing and puffing throughout the process. That is motivation within itself.
The best part of it all was being outside! Feeling the warmth of the sun and the breeze of fresh air. Nothing can compare to taking your workout outside! 90% of the time, it's FREE!

Health & Fitness - Help!
Hey all! So I am in need of some motivational support. I am a week or so away from my 60th day and if you have been following my story, my grandmother passed away this week.
The Problem: I don't have the same level of motivation as I had a week ago.
Be it the passing of my grandmother or maybe I am plateauing out, I don't know what it is...but all I know is that I need something that will help me push forward. Any ideas?
Clarification: It's not that I have given up on the program. That will never happen! It's just that I don't feel that push or energy that I normally do. I don't feel like pushing myself. It's as if I'm just stuck in a rut or something. Anyway, today will be a short entry.

Health & Fitness - Embarking Upon the Unknown
Today is a weird day. So much on my plate, yet I feel compelled to question what my future brings. I am nearing closer and closer to my last month of Power 90 and although this will be my second attempt at this program, my first attempt was phenominal, but I never truly and officially completed the whole program. I cannot wait to make it official this time.
This brings me to my current situation. The unknown! I'm sure many have travelled down this path, but I am about to begin to close up a chapther in my life that I have never experienced. Beginning on Saturday, I, along with my parents and Uncles and Aunties, will be cleaning, dispursing, or throwing away the belongings of my grandparents. My grandmother passed away a few days ago and was the last of the two to survive. How does one approach a situation like this? I really can't figure out my thoughts and feelings about going over there and closing up this chapter that has been a part of my life since the day I was born. What happens next?
Maybe in a week or two or even a month, I'll be able to let you know the answers to those questions, until then, wish me well.

Health & Fitness - One Moment at a Time
After yesterday's unexpected and sad news, today pretty much sucked. I'm trying to stay as focused as I possibly can, but it's difficult to feel the same amount of motivation that I had prior to yesterday. I know what I must do. I know I need to stay as focused as I possibly can, but right now I am cutting myself some slack. I still maintain a full schedule, but don't harp down on myself if I don't feel like finishing something. I put it aside, take a break, and return to it when I am ready. So far, it has helped.
As my motivation levels dip lower, I keep telling myself that she (my grandmother who passed away yesterday) is OK, that she would not want me to stop doing what I have come to love, and that the underlying challenge still remains: to live a healthier and fit life. This just all becomes a challenge within a challenge and with everyone's support that I have been receiving throughout the many social networks, I know I'll push through! With that being said, I want to thank each and everyone of you that have sent me your thoughts. I really appreciate, it has helped me tremendously and I am grateful to have people out there that care.
So today, as my day begins to slow down, I would like to dedicate this post to all of you that have taken time out of your lives to wish me well and send your thoughts. All of the ReTweets, the emails, and phone calls have been amazing!

Health & Fitness - Sadness Overcomes Me
Two nights ago, I woke up in a drenched sweat with tears flowing from my eyes. I had just dreamt of my grandparents in the youthful prime. There were enjoying themselves and basking in the opportunities they built for their children and children's children. The dream progressed and they got older. My grandfather passed away and my grandmother was left alone cooking in the kitchen for herself, missing her love. From a distance, I could feel my grandfather say everything was going to be OK, then suddenly I woke up.
My grandfather has been gone for a little more than a year now and yesterday afternoon I got word that my grandmother had to be taken to the hospital. Her breathing was faint and she was weak and frail. This morning, we were told that she would probably not make it another 24 hours by her Doctor.
As difficult as it has been, that dream left me with some comfort knowing that my grandmother was going to finally be with her husband again. What ever you may believe, that dream was, to me, a message from my grandfather letting me know to go and see her before she passes away and a message saying that she was going to be OK.
Upon the resent events of my grandmother, my father has a blockage in his urinary tract that must be addressed. He needs to have surgery and I am going along with my mother to drive them and assist them on Oahu. I can only imagine what my father is going through. The soon lost of his mother upon having to go through a surgery is a lot to deal with.
Now I am getting closer to the last month of my Power 90 program and these next few days and weeks are going to be very difficult for me. I now know why I had struggled through these past few months pushing myself harder everyday to achieve one of the most highly sought after goals, health and fitness. Through everything that I have endured, I know I will be able to continue...to push forward...to use my time with Tony Horton (Power 90/P90X Trainer and Creator) to become healthier and fit enough to endure life's many challenges.Tony's uplifting motivation will help me through these trying times.
...As I was typing my last sentence on this blog, my mother called to let me know that she (my grandmother) had passed. I am so grateful that I got a chance to be with her before she passed away. I love her so much and appreciate everything that she has done for me.

Health & Fitness - Monday
So after yesterday's debacle, I awoke to find myself actually ready to get my exercises started. Power Sculpt 3-4 was sitting there awaiting my finger to press play! I did and I enjoyed it. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of Sculpt. I can measure my success immediately with Sculpt. I can push myself further if need be and I can focus on areas that I feel I need help with after the videos.
My key problem areas are my lower abs and my "love handles." After completing Ab Ripper 200, I take my 20 pound weights and do weighted oblique side-bends. This targets my "love handles."
***PLEASE REMEMBER TO ALWAYS CONSULT YOUR PHYSICIAN BEFORE BEGINNING ANY DIET OR EXERCISE PROGRAM***
1. First select a weight that you are comfortable with.
2. In a standing position, with your legs shoulder width apart, place the weight in your left hand and on your side.
3. Bend towards your left side, keeping your back straight (meaning, bend at your waist,) as far as you can.
4. Return to your starting position.
5. Complete your desired repetitions, switch over to the left side and repeat.
Next, I add in an additional round of leg lifts, which target my lower abs.
1. Lay on your back.
2. Place your hands below your buttocks, while creating a <> diamond shape with your thumbs and pointer fingers.
3. Raise your legs up 8 to 12 inches and lower them back down without touching the ground.
4. Repeat until you have reached your desired repetitions
Note: If you have lower back pains, the diamond shape with help support your spine. You may also choose to raise your legs higher instead of utilizing the 8 to 12 inch recommendation above.

Health & Fitness - Bound to Happen
Ok, so today was Easter Sunday, for those of you that practice celebrating holidays, and I decided that I deserved to enjoy myself. I had a stressful few days and I really needed to enjoy. Unfortunately, I decided to enjoy myself through eating! Hmmm...don't know why I didn't catch myself, but I only realized my mistake right now as I'm typing these very words out!
Stress + eating = the reason why I got fat!
Talk about a relapse. But, It was bound to happen! Good thing about today is that I realized I can no longer hold that amount of food in my system anymore. I ate a plate of food and could not eat anything else. I was over-stuffed and it was not funny. I normally could eat 3rds 4ths or 5ths. I serving and I was over-stuffed. Someone is watching over me!
I'm glad this happened today! If I didn't cross this bridge, it would have happened sooner or later! I'm glad it happened today and in the manner it did. I now realize how my eating habits have changed and how I really cannot handle eating in the same manner as before.
Gosh, my stomach is so not enjoying the food that I ate. Back to the healthy and nutritional foods tomorrow for me! I'm actually looking forward to it!

Health & Fitness - My Shakeology Experience
I received my Shakeology 2 days ago and tried it out yesterday. I took two sips and it was good. Didn't seem like it was anything special, but still...it was good (I took a video of myself taking my first sip of Shakeology). After I had cleaned up, I sat down to drink the rest of the shake. (I chose to blend it and add in 1/2 a cup of ice cubes) As I sat down and took the next gulp, I actually gagged. Having soo much of the shake in my mouth was overload for my taste buds and it was HORRENDOUS. I struggled through the entire cup of Shakeology, gagging each time I swallowed.
Now, with that being said. I knew I had done something wrong! How could this shake taste so incredibly terrible that I actually gagged. I racked my brain to come up with a solution and finally noticed that I was not paying attention to how much of the Shakeology powder I was actually putting into the blender. I had doubled the recipe without noticing it.
So today, I followed the recipe and low and behold, that was the key. The shake was SO much better. It really is good! I would place it next to some of the best protein shakes that I have tried before like musclemilk (although shakeology is far healthier).
So, lesson learned...pay attention to what I am doing and stop worrying about the damn camera.
Try it for yourself: Shakeology

Health & Fitness: SLOW
So, I have been getting 4-6 hours of sleep a night, which for me is not good at all! I need to be getting 8 hours or I usually lag the following day. Three days of not enough sleep and today arrives. Wow, I really really really was lagging. I could feel my body just wanting to shut down. NOT GOOD! I know the importance of getting the proper amount of rest, especially when you workout as intensely as I have been. The Power 90 3-4 series is tough though.
So I tried to sleep in an hour, but was awaken by my other half telling me I'm supposed to get up. My other half didn't know that I had made adjustements in my schedule so I could recover from the lack of sleep. Needless to say, I had a difficult time going back to sleep and that didn't help at all.
I arranged my schedule so I could workout after work, instead of first in the morning as usual. This also did not help! Being exhausted from the day, add in the lack of sleep, and you have one big pile of tiredness.
I pushed through my workouts as much as possible, but I could feel my body not wanting to cooperate. By the end, I had gained just enough energy to wake me up, but that did not last very long.
So, I opened up the kit yesterday and drank my shakeology shake....I'll blog that experience in a seperate post. It deserves its own post. The Coach's kit is extremely thorough. The absolute best that I have seen ever. I have been doing Direct Sales/Network Marketing for quite some time and I have been through several business, both established and new. I have never come across a Network Marketing business that was so professionally set up. EVERY single aspect of Beachbody is covered and very well presented. The pamphlets are clean and professional, not an ebook, or an email. 2 Thumbs up Beachbody.

Health & Fitness - It's Here!
Finally, I got my Beachbody Coach's Kit. I am not going to open it yet. I set aside some time so I can open it up and review the whole kit in its entirety. This is when it all begins! I'm so excited.
This opportunity is truly something special for me. I am so grateful to have come across it. I really do believe that it was faith that brought me to Beachbody's Coaching business. Never before, through all the different companies that I have represented have I been this passionate about the products and company. Beachbody is truly something special. Power 90, P90X, Hip Hop Abs, Turbo Jam, ChaLean Extreme, and many more fitness videos have changed thousands of peoples lives. Their products assist in your nutritional intake help support their videos. What's even better is that they wrap you with so much support and assistance that it almost becomes impossible for you to fail. I LOVE BEACHBODY! Can you tell?
Well, today started early as usual. I start my workouts at 6:15 am and it lasted up until 8 am. I had to make a few adjustments because the weather outside was pretty bleak and I did not want to be in the middle of a downpour a mile away from home. So I opted to stay indoors today and work on the treadmill. It has been a while since I could actually use the treadmill-the belt was loose and would push us forward when we would run or walk on it. Luckily we have a warranty!
Anyway, I also did Power 90 Sweat 3-4 today. I decided to lighten my intensity to be able to make it through the entire video without it becoming overwhelmingly impossible for me to continue. Tuesday was a lesson learned. Boy did that suck! As time progresses, I'll push myself harder. It's only my first week of Sweat 3-4 so I can't expect to be be Superman immediately.
I am going to do a VLOG when I open up my coach's kit today and I'll try and post it sometime tonight or tomorrow. Editing videos can be a (please place a bad word here). I'm just happy that it is finally here!

Health & Fitness - Making Room
Well, today's workout went by pretty fast. I did Power 90 3-4 Sculpt and I love the challenge this video has given me. It has been absolutely amazing. I can feel the burn everytime I do those 5 sets or lunges and the 4th round of Sculpt.
Today was a challenge of scheduling. I needed to workout but I did not know what time I could fit my workout in. I had a last minute change of schedule that altered my normal time to workout, which would normally be between 6:30 am and 8:00 am. I needed to take my nephew to school today which doesn't help the cause, but we have to help each other out or we will all fail, so without any reservations, I decided to change my schedule to workout between 6:00 am and 7:30 am.
It worked out well for me. I did my Sculpt and Ab Ripper 200. I also added in some extra exercises to help focus on my chest and "love handles". My chest is non-exsistant and my "love handles" make me look like I got some "lady lumps". It's cool though. I know I'm still progressing through my program and have about a month and a half in the program.
Oh, how could I forget! I am officiall 20 pounds lighter than when I first started the Power 90 program. I was 205 pounds when I first started the program back in February. Now, I am 185 pounds. 20 pounds! I cannot believe how much progress I have made. It's blowing my mind.
So today was a day of celebration! First because I have successfully rescheduled my workout and second because I lost 20 pounds in approximately 45 days! Hooray!

Health & Fitness - The Pain and the BURN!
All I can say is "Power 90 Sweat 3-4 KICKED MY @SS today!" What the hee haw? Man oh man, what a workout. I was drenched by the time I completed the workout and I did not make it through the whole thing. I had to stop a few times throughout to catch my breath. This was cardio at its finest.
Although it tore my apart, I'm happy it did! Power 90 Sweat 3-4 becomes a new goal for me. To make it though without stopping. It brings some added motivation that I needed at this point. It was becoming a routine and I could feel my body growing accustomed to the workouts. This change will help me develop even further as I strive to meet my exercise and weight goals for the next month and a half.
After all of that today, bring on the pain and bring on burn!

Health & Fitness - Everyday Challenges
So today is a challenging day being away from home for the majority of the day. I awoke at 4:30 am to catch a 6:25 am flight to Oahu. We are not scheduled to return home until 5:00 pm. Not good! By the time I actually get home, it will probably be 7 pm. Time to work out? Hmmmm, not really. But I'm going to make sure that I find the time when I return home. It can be so challenging with many different appointments and commitments. I don't plan on using this as an excuse to take a day off though. I know how challenging this can be, but I believe that no matter how hard we work, we deserve to take some time to ourselves to care and value ourselves.
I'm giggling here as I type this because it may be a different story when I actually return home exhausted from a day of traveling and waiting and traveling and waiting. I may have to update this blog post with a statement that totally contridicts my above statement. We can have the perfect mindset, but mindset needs action. We can all be genius' with amazing ideas, but they do not amount to anything unless you place action into your ideas.
Until the end of the day...I'm signing off for now!
Update! So I tried to take an earlier flight home today so I could make some time to exercise, but the airlines could not make any changes to our flight. We opted to go to the mall and watch a movie. Movie theaters are such a difficult place for me. The temptations are so overwhelming. The smell of buttered popcorn in the air. The noisy crackling and crunching that people make as they eat their candy and popcorn. I think I was lucky though. I was so tired that all of those distractions did not mean a thing to me.
We go home at about 5 pm and I needed to go to the grocery store to pick up some vegtables and food for the week. By the time we got home, it was nearing 7 pm. I got myself sorted and pressed play. Little did I realize, today was week 7 the start of the second half of Power 90. I bid adew to Power 90 1-2 and began Scuplt 3-4. All I can say is, "wow." That was pretty awesome. There are some minor changes in 3-4, decline push-ups, pushups till faliure, and the lovely 4th round of sculpt (where everything is pretty much till failure). I enjoyed it though. I felt great and was amazed as I looked at myself in the mirror. I have developed what seems to be the start of abs. Haa-lay-lu-yer! Now that is motivation in itself.

Health & Fitness - Bring It!
So lately, I have been getting a stream of support and motivation from many people that I have met through social networks like Facebook, YouTube, Myspace, Twitter, etc. The majority of people believe that I am near perfect and that this comes easy for me.
Unfortunately, that is far from true. Although I now can say that I actually love working out, I definitely struggle each day to get myself going. At least for 15 minutes, while I tell myself, "OK, it is time to exercise" I fight my mental weaknesses. It is SOOO easy to just take a break for a day or two. But, I force myself whether I'm moaning and groaning throughout the whole routine or jumping for joy after receiving the boost of energy that physical activity brings.
You know, my life is soooo busy that I often find myself missing meals or scrambling to find a decent and affordable healthy meal at a grocery store or fast food establishment. I wish I had the time to prepare meals ahead of time, but I don't. I'm struggling as it is to make time to workout.
You may be asking, "why don't you fall off like many have?" Or, "why does it seem to come easier for you?" Well, I made a decision before I started this program. I decided that this was a way for me to measure my own self worth. To show myself how much I truly valued and appreciated my life! I know I am worth it! I know I deserve it and so do you! You deserve to live a life that breaths fitness and health. Where you no longer need to wake up in the middle of the night because you can't breath. Where you no longer have the high blood pressure, rapid heart rate, or any other ailments that come with an unhealthy lifestyle.
Everyday I tell myself, "I deserve this. I deserve to feel good and to be proud of myself." I wake up grateful everyday that I made it through the rigorous routines that we, Power 90 users, go through. Grateful that I chose to eat a fat free yogurt instead of a bowl of chocolate ice cream.
Celebrate the small accomplishments! Build upon them and before you know it, you will have exceeded your goals. Take each moment as they come, its a battle we face everyday, but most importantly: BRING IT!

Health & Fitness - The Energy Returns
So today started off a bit slow. My energy levels were below normal, my body was aching and a bit sore. I rolled out of bed and made my way through the normal morning ritual. I zombied my way through the stretch and Power 90 Sweat 1-2 began.
Half way through the first set of cardio, I could feel the energy return. My eyes opened up and awoke and my muscles began to crank each movement out like a well oiled engine. Soon, my whole body was enjoying the burn as I trampled through the forty minute routine. I kept telling myself, "I'm enjoying this. I'm enjoying this." The difference was, I actually was enjoying this cardio routine.
At times, my mind drifted to glance at the morning skies, which were littered with patches of dark gray clouds and little white fluffy clouds. Was it going to rain and ruin my morning walk? By the time I had finished my Power 90 Sweat 1-2, I had already decided that I was going to take that walk whether or not the rain came pouring down. I needed to get that extra bit of cardio in or it would have bothered me the entire day.
The walk was calm and quiet. I took my nephew with me and we traveled the 2 mile journey, filling it was bursts of sprints throughout the walk. The huffing and puffing is no longer as heavy as it once was and I can feel my endurance building as I pushed further with each sprint.
Today, the energy returned and I can now feel my mind and body in sync again.

Health & Fitness - I'm Back!
So the vacation is officially over and I have been met with many a challenges this week. Luckily, I planned around my challenges and altered my week's exercise plans and dietary intake to compensate for the leniency that I have allowed myself this week.
Fortunately, the leniency is over and the hard work continues. I do enjoy the healthier meals and the feeling of exercising and lifting weights. It really does feel refreshing and it fills my aura with such a positive outlook on every single task and/or activity that I do throughout my day.
So today went off with a problem. Today was Power 90 Sculpt 1-2 and, for the most part, it went well. I can feel my strength levels increasing as I worked through the routine. It feels great knowing how my body is building and getting healthier everyday.
Glad to be back!

Health & Fitness - Making Exceptions
Today, we flew back home. We had a morning flight and checked out of the hotel at 7:30 am in order to push through traffic and make it to the airport an hour before our flight, which left at 9:25 am. We went up to the Premier Lounge ate some snack mix and drank a glass of juice as we awaited our flight.
When we arrived home, I could feel my stomach aching for a meal. The snack mix did not do me justice. Knowing I had a dinner to attend tonight, I opted to make an exception for today. Eat meals that are high in protein and not worry too much about the carbs and fat content. I know I'll have to work it off in the next few days, but every now and then we all need to take a break for a meal, a day, or a few days. As I have learned over the past 5 weeks, no one is perfect. Even the professionals allow themselves to slip every now and then.
What truly matters is what you do after you have slipped!

Health & Fitness: When to Slow Down
So, I have seen myself accomplish so much within this past month. I have overcome so many challenges and so many temptations that I really need to sit back and appreciate myself and be grateful for the strength that I have found throughout everything.
I have decided to allow myself to eat normal meals within reason for the next few days. I have two full days left here on vacation and I believe that I can sit back and enjoy a little bit. I deserve it. Enough of being that psycho diet police officer and it is time for me to sit back and enjoy myself a little.
Now today was a pretty good day. I got up and did my Power 90 as planned. Eat a healthy meal for breakfast and started the day off. We went to Todai for lunch. Todai is a Japanese buffet and is located a mile away from our hotel. We opted to walk to and from Todai's. It helps with the guilt that builds after eating such an indulgent meal. Well, I did decide to enjoy myself a little more for these next few days. So, there really was no guilt for me.
We walked back to the hotel and did some shopping along the way. We found some good deals at Macy's Waikiki. Some of which where not offered at the other three Macy's that we visited throughout our trip.
For dinner, we opted for Chili's. Wow, I did not realize how overly priced Chili's was. Granted, the food was good. Was it that good? No! Paying $15 - $30 per entree is just crazy. What are we really paying for? The embiance? The pomp? The name? I do not know, but Chili's is not the only resturant "chain" out there that is charging silly amounts of money for basic meals.
Anyway, enough of my blabbing. I ate an amazingly boring Grilled Chicken Burger at Chili's. It satisfied my stomach, but did not match the price. There I go again. I'll stop!

Health & Fitness - Did I Make It?
So today was the culmination of several challenges. A week filled with temptations and distractions. Many of which were unexpected. Preparing for my vacation to the Island of Oahu became a huge challenge when doubled with the scheduling conflicts, requests and normal appointments I must meet weekly. It can become an overwhelming stress induced, time consuming buffet of overeating and lack of exercise.
Luckily, I made through those challenges one by one. No matter what unexpected or doubled appointment that I had, I ensured that my day would not be littered with too much food and no exercise. I can't say it was not a challenge. Because challenge by the word itself is a huge understatement. It becomes a mental battle of goals and temptations.
Now, as I succeeded through my first few days of the week, the real challenge still stood standing before me. The actual vacation. What can one do, when not in the comfort of your own home? Eating out is the only way to eat! Fast food, restaurants and bars line the sidewalks of Waikiki. How does one resist the overwhelming temptations of food? I wish I could give you an answer. I am still learning.
Now, the rest of the week for me went fairly well. I resisted any bad meals and only opted for my normal Sunday "free" meal, which was a buffet at Smorgy. When we went to restaurants, I opted for the grilled chicken salad or sandwich, took the side salad instead of lavishly overpriced entrees, and woke up every morning to workout in the Hotel's gym.
Again, I ask, was it easy? No way! Not even close to being easy! Now, the challenge is not just walking past all the restaurants, bars, and fast food, it is actually being in one of these establishments. Seeing the plates of piled on food, smelling the overwhelming aroma of the heavily fried foods, and watching people melt as they taste these "evil" concoctions.
But I made it! I cannot believe it, but I made it! Celebration!

Health & Fitness - The Real Test Has Begun
So, yes I am finally on vacation. Vacation usually means overeating and no exercising. What a challenge this is going to be for me. Day 1 is almost over and I have survived so far. For breakfast, we went to Denny's. Oh my gosh, what a challenge! We usually order one main dish, one appetizer each, and dessert. Not an option this time. So I opted for a veggie omelette made with an egg beaters and whole wheat toast. It was actually really good and filled my stomach. I actually had to stop eating because I was full.
Lunch was easier. We went to Costco and did some shopping for my otherhalf's school tomorrow. We ate at their food booth and I opted for the wheat turkey wrap and had a little bit of a non fat yogurt.
Dinner is a few minutes away and we are heading downstairs at a bar and resturant downstairs. I hope they have something healthy. Crossing my fingers, but I'm sure they do.

April Becomes the How to Month
So every since I became a Online Marketing Specialist, I have been aching to share some information with everyone that I have learned. It is amazing to know how much a few differences in your marketing attempts can change your entire business.
You know, I have gotten more leads through these marketing strategies than anything else hands down. Plus, I have only utilized the free options to attract these leads. You know the best part of all of this? The best part is that I'm not part of some scheme or ploy or get rich quick scheme. It feels good to provide information and assistance to the thousands of people on the Internet that are in need.
It just feels right!
So, to celebrate my newly found brilliance (joke,) I am going to be doing a series of 30 videos for the 30 days of April that will cover several different aspects of Marketing. Although everything is still up in the air, as far as the exact topics I will be covering, I will be giving you all more information as time passes.
Check back for more information in the near future. Should be within the next few days.

Health & Fitness: A Change of Environment
So today I awoke an hour before I was supposed to and could not go back to sleep. My body was telling me to get going, while my mind was saying, "give in, go to bed." My body won and I got up, got a few things done in my office and jumped right into my Sculpt 1-2 Ab Ripper 200 series.
Today was my second day on WOWY (if you don't know what WOWY is, ask me...its an awesome program.) I think the excitement of WOWY woke me up. I think its such a phenomenal program to utilize when you are working out. I no longer feel like I'm working out alone! I actually have workout buddies that workout with me at the same time.
Today was a fairly busy day. I scrambled around Pahoa Town getting things done. I have a long list of T2D. They must be completed before my vacation tomorrow to the Island of Oahu. I CAN'T WAIT! I'm planning on working out on Lanikai Beach...don't be jealous, I'll take some pictures and video for you all to envy. Just kidding.
Oh, I almost forgot the best discovery moment of today. So after working out today, I found myself in a conundrum. I jumped on my treadmill to do my normal half hour treadmill routine. The magnet to activate the treadmill was missing! I tried to activate it with other magnets we had around the house, but nothing would work. So I decided to do it the normal way and take a walk in my neighborhood. The fresh air and the variances in the incline and decline of the road proved to be an AWESOME! I don't know why I did not do it before. I'm looking forward to doing it tomorrow before I catch my flight.
Everyday is a discovery waiting to happen! Go out and find something new and exciting!
